Selection considerations
  • Mounting position, light pattern and colour (amber, blue or clear) for each lamp.
  • Electrical system: the Luminous Star models in our brochure operate on 12/24 V DC.
  • Approvals differ by model. Depending on the model, the Luminous Star brochure lists ECE R10, ECE R65 (Class 1 or Class 2, amber/blue), SAE Class 1 and IP67.
  • Selected Luminous Star beacons are also listed as ICAO (amber).
  • The Luminous Star R65 Class 2 light bar is offered in lengths from 532 mm to 1,860 mm.

  • Vehicle dimensions, the areas that must be visible and how the driver will use the information.
  • Camera positions and cable routing on the vehicle body.
  • Calibration on the vehicle after installation. Stonkam’s 4CH and 6CH AI 360° systems support automatic calibration.
  • Regulation: specific Stonkam models are listed in the brochure as addressing UN ECE R151 (blind spot information), R158 (reversing) and R159 (moving-off information). The applicable regulation is shown per model.
